Thorskegga has started a series of paintings depicting the gods worshipped by the Anglo-Saxon and Norse settlers in England.
Eir is the goddess of healing from the Norse Eddas.
She is shown here with comfrey, the nine wands used early spells to fight disease, the 'need' rune, the apple and nut symbols of life and a horse rattle for driving off wicked elves.
